What the mineral does in your formulation.

Industries describe where calcium carbonate goes; applications describe what it does when it gets there. Browse by function to find the grade that solves your problem.

Functional Roles

Five jobs. One mineral.

Function 01

Volume filler

Replaces more expensive polymer or binder volume in PE, PP and PVC systems, helping reduce formulation cost. The loading that remains workable depends on the system and should be confirmed by trial.

Function 02

Extender pigment

Extends premium white pigments in paints and coatings. At 97% brightness, our GCC holds the film's whiteness while lowering the cost per liter.

Function 03

Functional filler

Adds body and can support stiffness and dimensional stability in rubber and some cable compounds, depending on the formulation. It is not a direct substitute for carbon black or silica.

Function 04

Rheology modifier

Helps control viscosity, body and sag resistance in adhesives, sealants and building compounds. A consistent PSD supports consistent flow behaviour.

Function 05

Paper filler & coating pigment

Fills the sheet and coats the surface — raising whiteness, opacity and printability while reducing fiber consumption.
